Franchise Opportunities - Are they for you?

Investing in a franchise can be very rewarding but also involves both a tremendous amount of work and can be very costly. First, the rewarding part ~ obviously coming out of the gate with a name brand everyone knows provides a huge advantage over starting something totally new that is positioned to compete with these franchises. That said, the name brand comes at a cost to you. Sources I reviewed suggest that the initial franchise fee can range from about $25k to nearly $50k and the franchise normally dictates how much liquid cash you must have on hand and often requires you to chip in for the build out of the location. Based on my research, you also must invest round the clock time following the opening of your franchise location which will impact your time freedom.

As always, carefully review the monetary and time costs associated with any supplemental income opportunity.
